So I'd personally skip both the Fujin and Raijin for now and spend your WSP on a Carnage if you don't have one, or Tarans if you don't have at least two. It's also more difficult to get into good firing positions when you need to pack up and redeploy every time you move, and the bot is outgunned by both of the other major sniper bots, the Fury and Butch, when using a Treb variant. You'd think that the Raijin's shield would make it great as a sniping platform since there are no blast weapons with ranges over 600m, but the ease of seeking cover at long range makes the shield and high HP of the Raijin a little redundant. However, I eventually stopped using it because the firepower is almost identical to a Carnage (although the Raijin gets a 30% bonus to damage when it deploys it's special ability), and the Carnage's dash ability makes it much easier to close into kill-range with the Thunders. I like Raijins a little better, and even used a Thunder variant for a "pop-up" bot a powerful close-combat Beacon Rush bot meant to spawn on a beacon that's about to be captured. Plus, the lack of maneuverability and lack of physical shielding makes it extremely vulnerable to one of the most common brawlers in the game the Taran Ancilot. The reason Fujins aren't particularly useful in higher leagues is that the energy shield is mainly useful for keeping your bot from getting vaporized by a close-combat attack, but a Fujin's lack of speed and lack of a shield when moving makes it difficult to control your range, which is the essence of a close-combat bot. IMHO, neither of the quad bots is particularly useful. they are jack of all trades and fit the role perfectly.ĭont waste gold on gareths, gepards or anything like that before your 5th slot, just dont do it, if you want a fast light bot get a stalker for WSP, after 5th slot you can mess around a little bit but i would recommend you to not (if you aim for higher leagues), if you dont care about higher leagues then feel free to play what you want. Get griffins as soon as possible as they will serve you the whole way up to champions league. With WSP work towards 4 magnums and 4 tarans, this will be a good base or atleast give you the posibility to run 2 plasma bots, you will get more weapons later but for a start its good.Īfter 5th slot work towards what you are missing, most people (including me) run 4 brawlers and 1 midrange/longrange. You could stick in two orkans between 4th and 5th slots, but get 4 slots asap then work towards 5th as much as you can between those two orkans, dont buy anything else between there, your weapons you have at this stage should be enough. The fujin got a energy shield that can hold for a second or two and return fire if necessecary, go with tarans for griffin hunting or other nonshielded bots, or orkans for huge burst. or atleast cripple you so badly that you are of no use anyway. Well yes it can lock down a area but a single DB griff will end your day like its nothing. There will be some gold plebs saying "but mister, it got a damage modification, and its good with thunders!" 4 magnums, 4 tarans, 2 orkans between 4th and 5th slot (optional).įrom a champion players perspective, dont get any of those two, but if you really must and want, get the fujin, the raijin is just free silver and so clumsy its not even funny. Tl dr: Slots>weapons>bots, In that order.
